First baseman Joey Votto connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at the
ballpark where the Dublin Pubcrawlers beat the Tampico Stogies by the score
of 5 to 3.
 
Dublin erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 8th inning with 2
runs on 2 hits.  Joe Mauer led off and started the attack as he slapped a
base-hit.  Mauer stole second with some aggressive base running.  After an
out was recorded, Votto came to the plate and cracked a two-run shot.  Dublin
had 10 hits overall, while Tampico had 7.  
 
The victory was credited to Paul Maholm(2-0) who went 8 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 3 runs. Phil Coke gained credit for his 8th save.  Jeff Niemann(2-5)
suffered the loss.  He allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
